Description

The Foundation Case Support of the German Police Union Foundation offers nationwide free accommodation for psychological and physical regeneration after traumatic events. Interested parties from the target group defined in the foundation’s statutes – which includes employees and beneficiaries of the police as well as members of other security authorities (e.g., professional fire brigades, emergency services, correctional services) and their surviving dependents – can use apartments, flats, and houses in the three DPolG foundation houses at Sylvensteinsee, in the spa town of Lenggries, and at Walchensee. These in-kind benefits serve to regain strength and heal emotional wounds in an idyllic setting. Since the places are allocated continuously, booking is possible at any time, provided the accommodations are not reserved for acute foundation cases.

Eligibility for funding requires membership in the specified target group. The application is submitted via a completed “Foundation Case” form and requires confirmation by a union official, the staff council, or the supervisory authority. As the support is provided as a grant in the form of in-kind benefits, no financial costs arise for the accommodation. The German Police Union Foundation thus aims to sustainably maintain the operational capability of those seeking help and to promote their psychological stability. Regular incoming donations ensure the availability of the foundation houses, allowing affected individuals from blue-light professions and correctional services to benefit from this offer year-round.
