Description
The biennial foundation award of the Foundation of the Bremerhaven Economy honors outstanding projects and special social commitment in Bremerhaven. Recognized are initiatives, companies, associations, non-profit organizations, or individuals whose contributions in the fields of education, upbringing, art, culture, and sports have a sustainable and positive impact on the location. The award is endowed with up to 5,000 euros and honors both one-time projects and continuous engagement. Applications are accepted that name the institution or project on 1–2 DIN A4 pages, list contact persons with contact details, and concisely describe the achievement. A jury evaluates based on the relevance to the location, demonstrable success, exemplary impact beyond specialist circles, and credible representation by the awardees.
Applications can be submitted at any time – the next call for the 2027 foundation award is ongoing. The Foundation of the Bremerhaven Economy was established in 2000 by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Bremerhaven together with 22 local companies and aims to promote forward-looking projects through financial support.
