The Günter Neumann Foundation continuously awards partially repayable scholarships for students of the Musical/Chanson/Song program at the Berlin University of the Arts, as well as since 2023 for students of the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts with a focus on musical education. The program aims to support promising artistic talents during their artistic training and to contribute to the promotion of music, culture, and media in Berlin. The grants can cover training and further education costs as well as living expenses and extend throughout the entire study period until successful completion. This is an openly advertised funding opportunity, allowing ongoing applications without fixed deadlines.

A prerequisite for funding approval is enrollment in the aforementioned programs as well as a recommendation from the supervising university instructors. Selection is based on the artistic suitability of the applicants, assessed through work samples or audition situations, as well as the quality of the university reference. The straightforward application process enables flexible planning of artistic projects and fosters intensive exchange between donors and educators. Young talents thus receive reliable financial and ideal support to fully concentrate on their musical and acting training and to pave the way into the professional stage world.
