Description

The Friedrich Pongratz Foundation supports committed students, course participants, and university students nationwide with continuously available scholarships as well as scholarships for studying abroad. Funding is provided for training, advanced, and continuing education measures to finance tuition fees, learning materials, and living expenses. A wide range of thematic areas such as education for sustainable development, science, research & innovation, health, social affairs, and development cooperation are the focus. With the aim of strengthening education, public and vocational training, youth, elderly and disability assistance, public health services, international understanding, and tolerance, grants are awarded as one-time or multi-year contributions. Selection is based on criteria such as alignment with the foundation’s purpose, sustainable impact on the community, feasibility of the project, and individual eligibility for funding.

Eligible applicants include, in addition to private individuals, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and educational establishments that correspond to the foundation’s objectives. Applications can be submitted electronically or by post at any time. Required documents include a fully completed application form, a project outline, proof of non-profit status, a cost and financing plan, a self-presentation of the applicants, a sworn statement, and information on financial circumstances. Eligible expenses cover personnel costs, material and administrative expenses, investment costs, as well as planning and research costs. The foundation reserves the right to request evidence and to review project progress at agreed intervals. Comprehensive documentation of fund usage and a final report on the use of funds must be submitted after the funding period ends. Interested parties can obtain the necessary forms directly from the office to effectively implement their projects.
