The funding aims to develop individual talents and make a sustainable societal contribution. Applications can be submitted at any time, with decisions made at the end of January and July respectively, for a maximum funding period of 36 months.
Requirements for a successful application include proof of financial need, at least two evaluations in the form of letters of recommendation, expert opinions, certificates, or entrance examinations, as well as a presentation of personal development goals and the intended societal benefit. The complete online application form with a description of the planned education or training must be submitted. Selection is based on pronounced talent, proof of achievement, quality of documentation, and clarity of objectives. Personal contributions, such as partial financing by third parties or own funds, are positively regarded to emphasize the commitment and personal responsibility of the applicants.
