Description

The Kira Auguste Princess of Prussia Music and Culture Foundation supports deserving and needy full-time students in the fields of music and art with a monthly grant of €500. Applicants must be under 30 years old, enrolled at a state or state-recognized university in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, or provide proof of admission for the start of studies after the deadline. Part-time students, individuals who have already completed a professional qualifying examination, and recipients of comparable funding are excluded. The funding is generally granted for 12 months and can be extended upon written request. Payments are made in advance to a specified account, provided proof of health insurance is submitted.

Applications must be submitted semi-annually: by January 15 for funding starting in the summer semester and by July 15 for funding starting in the winter semester. The application must include the fully completed application form, a typed CV with an artistic focus, a recent passport photo, at least two expert reports (including one external evaluation), a certificate of enrollment or admission confirmation, an overview of monthly income and expenses, and proof of health insurance. In the selection process, the artistic development and proof of financial need are decisive factors. The foundation aims to support committed emerging artists in music and visual arts and to accompany their artistic development both ideologically and financially.
