Scholarship Program 2026 for Students of Technical Degree Programs

The 2026 scholarship program of the Lausitz Brown Coal Foundation is aimed at students of technical degree programs who aspire to a professional future in the Lausitz region. In the Brandenburg and Saxony regions, the Foundation supports academic potential in the fields of vocational training & continuing education as well as education with a one-time grant of €6,000. The program is open to private individuals currently enrolled in a technical degree program who intend to work directly in Lausitz upon completion of their studies. Through the continuous allocation of funds, a sustainable perspective for the regional skilled labor Nachwuchs is created, pursuing the goal of strengthening the economic and social development in the Lausitz brown coal mining area.

To apply, the current application documents must be submitted, which can be downloaded via the Foundation’s form page. In addition to proof of enrollment in a technical degree program, a written declaration regarding the intended professional activity in Lausitz is required. The selection of scholarship recipients is based on qualitative evaluation criteria, considering not only academic achievements but also social engagement and innovation potential.
