Description

The Edmund Rehwinkel Foundation of the Agricultural Rentenbank annually awards outstanding master’s students with a focus on agricultural or nutritional sciences and supports them over a period of 24 months with a monthly scholarship of €500. In addition to financial support, soft skill seminars on topics such as leadership competence, personal development, and methodological training are offered. Participants also have the opportunity to attend trade fairs and networking events organized by Rentenbank to establish valuable contacts with industry decision-makers and expand their professional prospects. Expenses for living costs, seminar participation fees, as well as travel costs to trade fairs and excursions are funded – thereby strengthening both professional and personal qualifications equally.

The program is aimed at students who begin their master’s studies in the fall semester or are enrolled in the first semester of an agricultural or nutritional sciences master’s program at a German university. Prerequisites include above-average academic performance, active social engagement, and initial practical experience through training or internships – international experience is expressly welcomed. The application period runs from 01.03.2026 to 30.06.2026. For selection, a brief letter of motivation, a tabular CV, a certificate of enrollment, and proof of previous examination results must be submitted; letters of recommendation and evidence of further practical activities are optional. Through the combination of financial support, professional development, and networking, the scholarship enables ambitious emerging professionals to purposefully realize their personal ambitions in the agricultural and nutritional sectors.
