Description

The Daniel Renn Foundation awards scholarships within the framework of the Work-&-Study Program to professionals and students in the fields of viticulture and oenology for an internship stay in the USA lasting from six weeks up to 18 months. In cooperation with Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden, the program offers the opportunity to complete, alongside practical assignments at wineries, a subject-related study component of up to three months at a renowned US university. The goal is professional and intercultural exchange: participants acquire advanced knowledge in modern cultivation and quality management methods, establish international contacts, and broaden their career prospects.

Applicants with completed or ongoing studies or vocational training in viticulture or oenology and proficient English skills are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time via InWEnt or authorized partner organizations. The continuously open deadlines allow for flexible planning of the stay abroad. Financial support includes contributions to travel expenses, scholarships for living costs, as well as tuition-free guest auditor status at Ohio State University for the integrated study component. The program is aimed at individuals who wish to expand their professional competencies in an international environment and have an interest in sustainable cultivation methods, sensory wine evaluation, and business processes in the global wine industry.
