Description

The structural funding for youth in Styria supports non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, as well as public institutions in permanently securing the service structure of specialized centers in extracurricular child and youth work. The goal is to offer young people high-quality services in the areas of information and counseling, youth protection and prevention, socio-political education and participation, educational and career orientation, as well as youth culture and creative forms of expression. Continuous submissions are possible, with the procedure requiring a preparatory funding consultation process in autumn and the application submission before the project start. Financial support is provided as a grant and is based on the provisions of the Styrian Youth Act as well as the youth funding guidelines of the state.

Funding is provided particularly for ongoing operating costs, personnel expenses, material resources, and project-related expenditures, whereby contributions in financial, material, or personnel form must be made. Prerequisites for a funding prospect include an activity concept with financial planning, a current funding application according to the template, a total cost breakdown, and, if applicable, a de minimis declaration. For a funding volume of 15,000 euros or more, a detailed concept, a personnel plan, and a project plan must additionally be submitted. Evaluation is based on the achievement of objectives according to the Youth Act, the quality of the educational offerings, as well as the principles of diversity, participation, networking, and sustainability. Innovatively oriented projects that actively involve young people achieve particularly high funding chances and contribute significantly to strengthening regional youth structures.
