Description
The Wübben Science Foundation gGmbH supports outstanding bachelor’s and master’s students at German universities in their final year of study with a monthly scholarship of €1,000 over a period of twelve months. The program is aimed nationwide at particularly talented and research-oriented students from all disciplines who wish to further develop the quality of their academic thesis and advance initial research results. The goal is to strengthen scientific curiosity, support the beneficiaries in focusing on their studies, and lay the foundation for a scientific career. Decisions on funding commitments will be made by September 11, 2026, with the project start planned from October 1, 2026.
Funding is provided to individuals enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program at a German university who are in their final year of study (two remaining semesters). A nomination by a spokesperson of a DFG Excellence Cluster by June 1, 2026, is a prerequisite, followed by the submission of the application via the online portal no later than July 26, 2026. Academic excellence, research orientation, and international experience play a decisive role in the selection process. The scholarship exclusively covers living expenses and enables the scholars to fully concentrate on their theses. Through this funding, the foundation contributes to strengthening early-career researchers and enhancing the quality of academic theses in Germany.
