Description
The study funding provided by the Joachim Christian Römer Foundation within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium is aimed at students of German universities who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, strong social commitment, and distinctive personal life biographies. Monthly, income-independent grants of €300 are awarded to recognize excellence and promote equal opportunities. Particular support is given to applicants who have overcome obstacles in their educational journey and contribute positively to the academic community through their engagement. The funding is nationwide and conducted as an ongoing process with a standard project duration of twelve months. With a funding rate of 50%, the program offers reliable support during studies and promotes the next generation of engineers as well as related technical fields in close cooperation with universities of applied sciences and universities.
To apply, enrollment at a German university, demonstrably excellent academic performance, and verifiable social engagement are prerequisites. Additionally, personal life circumstances, such as overcoming individual challenges, are considered in the selection process. Evaluation is based on the criteria “Academic Achievements,” “Social Commitment,” and “Personal Life Biography.” Required documents include a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, transcripts, proof of engagement, and a motivation letter. Deadlines depend on the announcements of the respective university, with applications starting from 01.10.2024. The continuous awarding of the scholarship encourages ambitious students to pursue their education and training purposefully and to set forward-looking impulses in engineering and technical disciplines.
