Description

The Rainer Markgraf Foundation supports motivated students with limited financial means in Bavaria through a monthly scholarship of up to €650. The funding initially covers two semesters and can be extended by a further two semesters each time upon proof of academic achievement and continued financial need, but not beyond the standard period of study. The aim is to cover living expenses as well as study-related costs and to create space for interdisciplinary insights and social engagement through financial relief. In addition to proof of academic performance and a self-disclosure of the financial situation, a personal application letter and the completed form according to the award guidelines must be submitted. Identification with the Upper Palatinate or Upper Franconia region as well as an interest in a clearly defined field of study are further evaluation criteria.

Applications are accepted continuously via PDF submission and are aimed at individuals who choose to pursue higher education despite limited resources and who wish to act responsibly in their profession and society thereafter. The award guidelines must be strictly observed to secure eligibility for funding. These continuously open funding opportunities provide reliable support for committed young talents in all phases of their studies. The transparent selection based on academic performance, financial need, and regional affiliation promotes equal opportunities and contributes to the optimal development of academic potential.
