Description

Subsidiary Free Accident and Liability Insurance for Formal Volunteer Activities is aimed at uninsured volunteers who are engaged within Salzburg aid organizations or non-profit institutions. Since 01.07.2013, the State of Salzburg has fully covered the costs of group accident insurance as well as liability insurance within the framework of this ongoing funding opportunity – provided there is no other insurance entitlement. With a 100% funding rate, the risks associated with formal volunteer activities are secured, thereby making a significant contribution to strengthening social cohesion. Injury-related disability, accident costs, and liability damages up to specified maximum amounts are covered. The subsidiary accident insurance includes benefits of up to €90,000 for permanent disability and up to €10,000 in the event of death, supplemented by accident costs up to €3,000 (with a deductible of €50). The liability insurance provides coverage up to a lump-sum insurance amount of €150,000 (with a deductible of 10%, minimum €150, maximum €1,500).

Only individuals whose damages occurred during formal activities at a Salzburg organization and who do not possess any other accident or liability insurance are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time without a deadline by submitting a damage report. This measure strengthens volunteer work in the areas of social affairs, commitment to social cohesion, and work & social services. The straightforward application process and full cost coverage make an important contribution to the safety and appreciation of voluntary work in Salzburg.
