Subsidy - City Theatre Klagenfurt

The subsidy for the Stadttheater Klagenfurt in Carinthia supports the ongoing operations as well as investment projects of Stadttheater Klagenfurt OG, including the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra. As a direct grant from the federal government pursuant to § 23 para. 1 FAG 2008 to the state of Carinthia and the city of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, the funding aims to partially cover operating deficits and investment expenses. Through the continuous provision of financial resources, the assurance of theater operations and performance activities in the fields of culture, music, and performing arts is guaranteed. Applications can be submitted at any time – without a fixed deadline – enabling continuous planning and implementation of artistic projects.

Eligible for funding is the open partnership Stadttheater Klagenfurt OG, under whose responsibility both in-house productions and guest performances as well as the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra as a sub-division fall. A prerequisite for a grant is the existence of the partnership agreement as well as compliance with the company’s financing guidelines. Eligible are operating costs and investment costs that are listed within the approved budget for the current season. Approval of this budget by the Joint Theater Committee is required as part of the application documents. With unlimited validity and continuous availability of funds, this program promotes a stable foundation for cultural operations in Carinthia.
