Description

The state of Carinthia supports restoration and maintenance measures on monuments as well as significant objects within the state of Carinthia through this state subsidy. Project proposals pursuant to § 2 para. 1 lit. f K-KFördG 2001, which ensure the preservation of Carinthia’s architectural heritage, are eligible for funding. The aim of the financial grant is to professionally secure testimonies of historic architecture, sacred and secular buildings, as well as townscapes, and to keep them accessible for future generations. Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons such as private individuals, companies, cooperatives, foundations, public institutions, interest groups, and non-profit organizations. The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy, the amount of which is based on the demonstrated necessities.

Applications are submitted continuously via the electronic funding application form, available through the online portal of the Carinthian Cultural Administration. The subsidy application must be accompanied by a detailed project description, a realistic financing plan including total costs and proof of all third-party funds, as well as the fully completed application form. Additionally, curricula vitae or proof of expertise and competence of the project managers and cost estimates are required. For projects requesting funding of €30,000 or more, a multi-page verification of all income and expenses in the form of balanced original receipts is required. Evaluation is conducted based on expertise, object-specific significance, professional necessity, and cost-effectiveness. Funding efforts must be coordinated in advance with any other funding bodies to avoid double financing. Department 14 – Arts and Culture at the Office of the Carinthian State Government provides substantive advice and supports applicants with formal questions. This statewide subsidy sustainably secures Carinthia’s cultural heritage for the present and future.
