Description

The subsidy fund for church-run kindergartens in the Archdiocese of Salzburg supports non-profit organizations in managing rising personnel costs and contributes to the long-term stabilization of the provision of early childhood education and care facilities. Grants are provided to cover personnel departures, build reserves for severance claims, and finance measures for the maintenance and renovation of the physical infrastructure. This continuous funding opportunity is exclusively aimed at church institutions of the Archdiocese of Salzburg and the St. Erentrudis Foundation, whose continued existence is threatened by financial bottlenecks. As a result, pedagogical quality and infrastructure can be secured, and spatial conditions can be sustainably improved.

Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no time limitation on the funding period. Requirements and detailed funding guidelines are set out in the official regulations of the Salzburg state government. Eligible expenses explicitly include personnel costs, reserves for severance claims, and expenditures for maintenance and renovation measures. Through this funding initiative, the State of Salzburg makes an important contribution to strengthening church-based early childhood education and enables non-profit organizations to further develop their institutional concepts and establish sustainable structures in the long term. The authority responsible for awarding the grants is the Office of the Salzburg State Government, Department of Law, Supervision, and Funding of Early Childhood Education and Care Facilities.
