Description
The SVB Contributions Program for Small Alpine Dairies and Alpine Personnel in Vorarlberg supports alpine farms and dairies through a subsidy for the social security contributions of their alpine personnel. Since January 1, 2018, it has been possible to submit applications indefinitely. In doing so, the state of Vorarlberg makes an important contribution to strengthening small-scale alpine agriculture and to the social relief of the employing businesses. The funding creates financial leeway to attract skilled workers for alpine and dairy activities and to retain them in the region in the long term. The financial support is exclusively focused on social security contributions – a central cost factor in rural personnel management.
Eligible for funding are legal entities and natural persons who employ staff for alpine or dairy activities as employers. The prerequisite is that the application is submitted by the alpine farm or dairy and that the employment of workers can be demonstrated. Only social security contributions are funded, thereby keeping administrative complexity low. Thanks to the ongoing funding opportunity, applicants can respond flexibly to personnel shortages and seasonal demands. The program’s goal is to sustainably promote agriculture and rural development in Vorarlberg by optimally securing qualified alpine personnel under social security law and relieving businesses. Institutions of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the Vorarlberg State Government offer information on further details or assistance with the application process.
