Daycare for Children and Adolescents

Day care for children and adolescents with disabilities in Tyrol offers outpatient, full-day support outside of regular schooling and is aimed at companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions. The goal of this continuously available grant funding is the holistic support and strengthening of participation in social life. Benefits are granted for up to 60 months and can be applied for at any time. Prerequisites include proof of a disability according to § 3 lit. a TTHG, Austrian citizenship or equivalence, main residence in Tyrol (exception in the case of inpatient service approval), as well as the cooperation of the adolescents or their legal representatives. A positive decision enables funding from the first day of the application month at the earliest, with a maximum duration of five years from the date of application receipt.

Interested parents, legal representatives, and providers of social care services in Tyrol can find all necessary application forms on the website of the Department of Inclusion and Child and Youth Welfare. The application for the granting of benefits under the Tyrolean Participation Act must include all documentation required for eligibility verification and is submitted electronically or in paper form. Upon successful approval, funds can be used for educational, therapeutic, and supportive services that cover individual support needs and ensure sustainable development of participation opportunities. This measure strengthens the self-determination and social integration of children and adolescents with disabilities in Tyrol in the long term.
