Description
The funding supports the sustainable integration of people with disabilities into the labor market of Styria through individual grants. The goal is to assist persons with a permanent physical, intellectual, psychological, or sensory impairment of working age in developing personal, social, and work-related skills. Priority is given to employment in the primary labor market; alternatively, places in qualifying institutions or day facilities may be funded. Since January 1, 2026, applications can be submitted continuously and without time limitation, ensuring continuous planning and implementation of individual measures.
Eligible for funding are private individuals with their main residence in Styria who are citizens of an EEA state, Switzerland, or holders of a corresponding residence permit according to § 8 para. 1 nos. 1–8 and 13 NAG and who are allowed to reside permanently (longer than three months) in the federal state. A prerequisite is an impairment of participation in social life that is not merely temporary. To apply, the form "Application for Assistance under the Styrian Disability Act" must be submitted to the responsible district authority. Department 11 – Social Affairs, Labor, and Integration of the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government oversees the funding process, reviews proof of use, and offers comprehensive advice. This measure strengthens equal opportunities and promotes an inclusive working environment that enables people with disabilities to have equal access to professional life.
