Description
The Morgensterne Youth Foundation in North Rhine-Westphalia supports non-profit BDKJ youth associations in the Archdiocese of Cologne in enabling children and young people from low-income families to participate in holiday camps. Interested associations can submit a funding request at any time. Up to 10 participants per measure are supported with a grant of up to €120 per person. Volunteer leaders also receive financial relief in the form of a 50% contribution towards their own costs, but no more than €120 per leader (maximum 2 leaders). The goal is to strengthen social participation and reduce financial barriers so that young people can equally experience community, education, and recreation.
For an application, associations must submit the fully completed funding application and provide proof of financial need. Only events organized by a BDKJ youth association in the Archdiocese of Cologne are eligible for funding. The grant is provided as a one-time subsidy and covers exclusively participation and leader fees. Since funding is continuously available, those responsible for holiday camps or youth associations can submit applications at any time without being bound to fixed deadlines. This uncomplicated support helps to recognize voluntary commitment and ensures young people an unforgettable holiday experience.
