Description

Theater of Generations is a vibrant, intergenerational theater project at the Anna Haag Multigenerational House in Baden-Württemberg. In this ongoing sponsorship program, seniors collaborate with children and adolescents with learning difficulties or intellectual disabilities under professional theater education guidance to develop their own productions. Every semester a new play is created, which is performed publicly and offers participants diverse opportunities for expression. The project's promise is evident in the playful learning of language and facial expressions among the youngest, in the strengthened self-confidence and improved articulation experience among the youth, as well as in memory training and the activation of social skills among the seniors. Private supporters, companies, and foundations can participate and thus promote intergenerational dialogue.

The funding objective is to continue and expand the theater education offerings to involve more interested parties and strengthen social cohesion. Through regular performances, language skills, expressiveness, and cognitive fitness are sustainably enhanced. The Anna Haag Foundation gGmbH is providing a funding amount of €8,000 to secure organizational processes, professional support, and material costs in the upcoming school and training year. This commitment not only contributes to the cultural participation of disadvantaged groups but also fosters lively encounters between generations. Donations and project grants can be made at any time to ensure the long-term effectiveness of the Theater of Generations and to reach new target groups.
