Description
The Thuringia Dynamics – Innovative program offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and members of the liberal professions in Thuringia low-interest loans for innovative investments within the framework of the ERDF program 2021–2027. Funding is provided for newly acquired tangible and intangible assets as well as modernization and maintenance expenses, with loan amounts ranging from €5,000 to €4,000,000. The aim is to support digital transformation, the development of new corporate structures, and the safeguarding of jobs in commerce, tourism, services, and for start-ups. Applications can be submitted at any time through the applicant’s house bank, provided the project is not completed before approval and the business location is in Thuringia.
A prerequisite for granting is SME status according to the EU definition as well as demonstrable innovative character of the project. The loans cover 100% of eligible expenses but exclude costs for land and real estate acquisition, used assets, investments related to fossil fuels, airport or waste infrastructure, and tobacco production. Evaluation is based on innovation character, degree of digitalization, and job security. Required documents include, among others, the Thuringia Dynamics application form, Annex 3 (further details on the project), the de minimis declaration, and proof of use. The Thuringian Development Bank (TAB) accompanies the entire process as the funding bank of the Free State and administers the program on behalf of the Thuringian Ministry for Economy, Science and Digital Society.
