Thuringian Small Arts Prize

Since 1996, the Thuringian Small Arts Prize has honored outstanding small arts performances at the Meininger Small Arts Days. Based in Thuringia, the audience award endowed with €5,555.55 is sponsored by the Sparkassen Cultural Foundation Hessen-Thuringia and the Rhön-Rennsteig Sparkasse. The annually awarded prize recognizes unusual, entertaining, and artistically sophisticated programs in the fields of culture, music, and small arts. As a pure audience decision, the evaluation is based on the votes cast by the festival audience, giving the award ceremony an authentic atmosphere and lively dynamics.

All artists and small arts creators performing at the Meininger Small Arts Days are eligible to participate. The awarding process is straightforward without a separate application – the decisive factor is the presentation before the enthusiastic audience. The award ceremony, embedded in a show featuring magic, music, and cabaret, is considered the highlight of the festival and creates a platform that offers regional visibility to both established and emerging talents.
