Description
The Tyrolean Sports Infrastructure Funding Program supports the construction and modernization of regional as well as multifunctional sports infrastructure facilities in Tyrol. This grant program is aimed at municipalities, municipal associations, tourism associations, clubs, cooperatives, and SMEs with the relevant permits. Funding is provided for, among other things, construction and planning services (planning costs up to a maximum of 10% of total costs), procurement of sports equipment and operational facilities, artificial turf surfaces without rubber granulate, lighting and access systems, as well as snowmaking systems including storage ponds. The funding rate is up to 50% of eligible expenses and contributes to strengthening grassroots sports, revitalizing the regional leisure economy, and improving the quality of life for the Tyrolean population. Applications can be submitted from 01.01.2023 until no later than 31.12.2027 prior to the start of the project or investment.
For the application, a precise project description, a detailed cost breakdown with comparative offers, a binding financing plan, as well as all planning documents and required legal permits must be submitted. For measures in very small and small ski areas, a quality certificate for artificial turf surfaces and a confirmation of the waiver of chemical-bacteriological snowmaking additives are additionally required. Compliance with technical and legal requirements, proof of regional significance, and multifunctionality are considered central evaluation criteria alongside economic efficiency and financial viability. Experts from the Department of Economic Promotion and Funding Transparency review the submitted documents according to the specifications of the framework guidelines and the infrastructure funding guidelines. The program offers a significant opportunity to sustainably further develop and permanently secure locally relevant sports and leisure facilities.
