Description
Tourism Measures and Other Funding in Burgenland
The funding program supports non-profit organizations that wish to contribute to strengthening the tourism infrastructure in Burgenland. Applicants can be interest groups, associations, as well as tourism organizers such as tourism, beautification, music, or nature park associations. Since May 15, 2013, it has been possible to submit funding applications continuously until the allocated budget of 0.2 million euros is exhausted. The aim of the measure is to create regional impulses in rural areas and to profile Burgenland as an attractive destination.
Funding Objects, Requirements, and Application Documents
Various tourism activities and events are funded, including the organization of events by clubs and associations as well as the state flower decoration competition. The purchase of promotional materials for marketing the region can also be supported. A prerequisite for a grant is the submission of an informal application or the official form, which is available from Department 2 – Tourism. Applications are submitted to the Office of the Burgenland State Government. Verification of original payment receipts ensures appropriateness. The program offers interested parties a straightforward opportunity to implement innovative projects to promote sustainable tourism and strengthen rural structures, thereby making a sustainable contribution to regional development success.
