Description

The funding guideline "Inter-company Training Centers for Critical Technologies" in North Rhine-Westphalia supports the modernization and equipping of workshops, laboratories, and digital teaching and learning spaces in vocational education and training institutions. The goal is to impart the necessary competencies for the development, production, and application of digital technologies, environmentally friendly solutions, and biotechnologies. With funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Just Transition Fund (JTF), investments are subsidized with a funding rate of 50% to 90% of eligible expenses, as long as budgetary funds are available. Within the maximum 24-month project period, expenses for laboratory equipment, machinery, tools, testing and trial facilities, technical devices, as well as IT resources can be considered and existing teaching and learning spaces modernized. New constructions, extensions, and energy renovations are not eligible for funding.

Eligible applicants are public and private legal entities responsible for vocational education and training, vocational further education institutions, as well as public universities and universities of applied sciences, provided they guarantee non-discriminatory access and offer innovative further education concepts in critical technologies. Evaluation is based on criteria such as quality of concept, appropriateness of resource use, gender equality, sustainability, innovation contribution, and strengthening of skilled labor potential. The application is submitted via the EFRE.NRW online portal and requires an application form, a detailed project description, proof of sponsorship, and a financing plan. Qualified consultation by the District Government of Arnsberg and the Innovation Promotion Agency NRW is recommended to ensure eligibility for funding and to guarantee project success.
