Description

The Bridging Grant for Self-Employed Individuals in Vienna ensures continuous employment for entrepreneurs with disabilities by financially compensating disability-related additional expenses. This continuously available grant funding particularly supports small businesses with up to five employees, especially sole proprietors, whose disability-related extra costs represent an existential burden. As part of comprehensive measures for professional participation, the program aims to sustainably stabilize existing businesses and ensure equal participation in economic life.

Funding is provided to self-employed individuals with a degree of disability of at least 50%, whose disability-related additional expenses demonstrably have a significant impact on ongoing operations. The application deadline is open-ended; applications can be submitted at any time to the Social Ministry Service. After reviewing the eligibility criteria—including proof of self-employment and company size—approval is granted as a one-time or recurring grant, tailored to individual needs. Through this unbureaucratic and targeted support, the funding objective of securing existing self-employment for people with disabilities is consistently implemented and makes a decisive contribution to inclusive economic and social policy.
