Assumption of debt service for loans of Messe Dornbirn GmbH for the new construction of exhibition halls 9 to 12

In Vorarlberg, the state promotes the expansion of the exhibition infrastructure by fully assuming the debt service for loans amounting to a total of 16.8 million euros taken out by Dornbirn Messe GmbH. This funding volume secures the new construction of exhibition halls 9 to 12 and creates a sustainable foundation for future major events and economic stimuli in the region. Companies receive full planning security through this directly granted state funding and are relieved, while internationally oriented trade fairs and congresses can take place in modern premises.

A prerequisite for the funding is a binding commitment to the long-term organization of trade fair events as well as the conclusion of a security agreement with Dornbirn Messe GmbH regarding the granted assumption of debt service. The funding is granted at 100% and exclusively covers the debt service for the respective loans. Applications can be submitted until December 31, 2031; the evaluation and funding decision are carried out by the Financial Affairs Department of the Vorarlberg State Government. This guideline enables the exhibition operators to realize new hall capacities and thereby strengthen an important location factor for the economy and tourism in Vorarlberg in the long term.
