Description
The investment grant "Conversion of Heating Systems in Multi-Family Houses" in Vienna supports the energy-efficient modernization of existing heating systems. The goal is the new connection as well as the conversion or retrofitting to low-emission, alternative energy systems such as biogenic fuels, modern heat pump technologies, and district heating. In addition to the dismantling of technical gas supply systems, the support aims at a significant reduction of CO₂ emissions and a sustainable improvement in energy efficiency. Applicants from the private and commercial sectors, cooperatives, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions can continuously apply for funding and thus contribute to climate protection and the modernization of residential buildings.
Up to 35% of the verified and reasonable costs of eligible measures are funded. These include, among others, the costs for the new connection of a heating system, conversion to central systems with biogenic fuels, heating heat pump systems, district heating connections, as well as the dismantling of old gas installations. A prerequisite for approval is the timely submission of the application before the start of the work, a proper maintenance condition of the property, and its location in Vienna. Required documents include, among others, a current land register excerpt, topographical data (rent and owner lists), if applicable, power(s) of attorney, as well as existing plans, construction orders, and cost estimates. The deadline has been unlimited since 01.05.2021, so interested parties can begin planning their heating system conversion at any time.
