Environmental education, training, and information, and environment-related projects

The funding program supports non-profit organizations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in implementing innovative projects in the fields of environmental education, upbringing, and information. The goal is to strengthen citizens' environmental awareness and to promote sustainable environmental and nature conservation measures through diverse events as well as the targeted exchange of knowledge. Projects addressing topics such as environmentally friendly energy production, information dissemination, or artistic approaches to conveying environmental information can benefit from this grant. Funding is provided in the form of a grant that can cover up to 50 percent of eligible expenses. Supported costs include, among others, the procurement of necessary materials, project-related rents, leases, and insurance, as well as fee-based expenses for speakers, consultants, or travel costs. Furthermore, tangible administrative expenses, costs for artistic representations and media products related to environmental information, as well as expenses for public relations and exhibitions can be submitted. Personnel costs of the grant recipients are not considered. This financial support offers a solid foundation to create functional and communicative infrastructures as well as initial equipment that serve environmental education and upbringing and achieve long-term sustainable effects.
