Description
The funding for environmental investments for small businesses in Salzburg is aimed at companies with up to 20 full-time equivalent employees (excluding apprentices) and specifically supports investments that sustainably reduce energy and resource consumption. Within the framework of a six-month project, grants of up to €5,000 can be applied for, covering a maximum of 50% of the net eligible costs. A prerequisite is an independent, product-neutral consultation by Umwelt Service Salzburg prior to the start of the investments, as well as a minimum expenditure volume of €2,000. This promotes the transition to a resource-conserving and climate-compatible way of doing business and strengthens the competitiveness of local companies.
Eligible measures include areas such as building services engineering (e.g., replacement of energy-efficient pumps, hydraulic balancing, or insulation), building envelope (replacement of windows, roof surfaces, and doors), compressed air, steam, and ventilation technology, lighting systems (LED systems and controls), sun protection and shading systems, as well as energy-efficient drives and machinery. Personnel contributions and in-house services without activation confirmation are not eligible. The application must include the consultation report, detailed cost estimates, and evidence of any other requested or already granted funding. Applications can be submitted until December 31, 2025, at the latest, as long as budget funds are available. The funding is provided as a one-time premium after timely submission and positive funding approval.
