Accommodation of International Organizations and Representative Authorities from Developing Countries in Vienna

The program supports the accommodation of international organizations and representative offices from developing countries in Vienna through earmarked grants. The sponsors are public institutions that provide funding in accordance with the applicable financial legal authorizations. Expenses in the area of accommodation costs are funded to ensure a stable seat in the Austrian capital. This open-ended offer has been continuously available since 01.01.2013 and can be applied for at any time. The goal is to strengthen the infrastructure for development cooperation, agriculture & rural development, as well as urban planning, thereby promoting international networking.

Eligible for funding are exclusively international organizations and representative offices from developing countries that are established in Vienna or are establishing a presence under a headquarters agreement. A prerequisite for the grant is commitments arising from existing memberships in international organizations or headquarters agreements. The funds come from the General Framework Guidelines (ARR) and are subject to transparent budget control by the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Department VI.3 – Budget Affairs and Controlling. Interested parties may submit an application at any time to secure and further expand their activities in the fields of development cooperation and infrastructure.
