Corporate and Research Cooperation Funding

Business and Research Cooperation Funding strengthens innovation capacity in Upper Austria by providing grants for joint projects between companies and research institutions. The regional program particularly supports small and medium-sized enterprises as well as educational institutions located or operating in Upper Austria. Funding applications can be submitted from 01.01.2024 until 31.12.2026. The focus is on initiatives in the fields of research & innovation, corporate financing, and consulting that promote knowledge transfer between industry and science and contribute to the development of new products, processes, or services.

The objective of the measure is to build sustainable cooperations and leverage synergies to jointly address technical, economic, or societal challenges. Eligible for funding are consortia comprising at least one company and one research institution in Upper Austria. The program targets project teams aiming to advance innovative ideas while relying on professional expertise and practical implementation. The grant can cover costs for personnel, materials, and external services. Interested companies and research partners are encouraged to plan their projects early and review the formal requirements to benefit from this targeted funding and jointly set new impulses for the regional economic and scientific landscape.
