Support for production companies in investments to increase productivity and expand their activities, as well as the establishment or expansion of headquarters activities and securing existing operational sites, in order to enhance the attractiveness of the economic location Lower Austria and counteract tendencies of relocation.

Funding requirements
- Central value-adding activity at a Lower Austrian location since 01.01.2015 or establishment of a new business site with at least 50 jobs based on full-time equivalents
- Primary activity focus of the business site according to ÖNACE code 2025 in groups C10–C33, E38–E39, F41–F43 or I55–I56
- Headquarter establishment in Lower Austria with the creation of at least 100 additional full-time equivalents

Description
The funding program “Entrepreneurial Investment – Location Promotion (NÖWTF)” aims to sustainably strengthen the innovation capacity and competitiveness of manufacturing companies as well as headquarters establishments in Lower Austria. The focus is on investments in tangible and intangible assets that contribute to increasing productivity, expanding business activities, or securing existing premises. With a funding rate of 5% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of €200,000, the program supports both the modernization of existing locations and the establishment of new business sites or headquarters with the creation of additional full-time equivalents. This measure is intended to enhance the attractiveness of the business location and counteract tendencies toward relocation. Applications can be submitted via the Business Promotion Portal until no later than 31.12.2026.
Eligible for funding are manufacturing companies with an operating site in Lower Austria (since 01.01.2015) or projects with at least 50 full-time equivalents in the ÖNACE sectors C10–C33, E38–E39, F41–F43, or I55–I56, as well as regional and central headquarters that create at least 100 new full-time equivalents on site. Ineligible costs include, among others, land acquisition, financing costs, VAT with input tax deduction, patent costs, and invoices not directly addressed to the applicants. Required for the application are, among other documents, a project guide, financial statements of the last three years, a cost breakdown, and officially approved building and trade permits. The digital processing is carried out via the Business Promotion Portal, which enables transparent status tracking and simple submission.
