Description
The funding program "Support for the Beekeeping Sector – Implementation and Application of Research Projects" supports non-profit projects of the State Institute for Bee Research Hohen Neuendorf e.V. in Brandenburg. Within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy, practice-oriented studies in the areas of breeding and behavior, molecular microbiology, bee health, forage utilization, and pollination are funded. Personnel costs, material costs, travel expenses, and, if applicable, value-added tax (in cases of no input tax deduction) can be reimbursed at 100%. The project duration is twelve months, and applications must be submitted by December 15 of the previous year to the State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture, and Land Consolidation. Only projects that are submitted with a detailed experimental plan and demonstrate benefits for beekeepers in the participating federal states are eligible for funding.
The objective is to strengthen beekeeping and improve pollination performance through effective knowledge transfer in the form of demonstrations, training, consultations, and publications. The measure contributes to the implementation of the CAP Strategic Plan to preserve biodiversity and enhance ecosystem services. Applicants must submit, in addition to a detailed project description, statutes, a financing and cost plan, as well as proof of no input tax deduction. The award decision is based on scientific innovation content, practical relevance, and contribution to biodiversity. Ineligible expenses include general operating costs, land acquisition exceeding 10% of eligible costs, leasing, as well as investments in means of transport or company shares.
