Support for municipalities and municipal associations in Vorarlberg in the preparation of application documents for participation in the Climate and Energy Model Regions (KEM) and Climate Change Adaptation Model Regions (KLAR!) of the Climate and Energy Fund, as well as in the development of climate change adaptation concepts.

Description
The program Support for Model Regions in Climate Protection and Adaptation is aimed at municipalities, associations of municipalities, as well as organizations of Climate and Energy Model Regions (KEM) and Climate Change Adaptation Model Regions (KLAR!) in the federal state of Vorarlberg. The objective is the co-financing of the preparation of application documents for the initial submission and continuation of the programs of the Climate and Energy Fund, as well as the development of climate change adaptation concepts. The measure supports model projects to strengthen municipal climate protection and adaptation strategies, thereby promoting energy efficiency, regional development, and sustainable development in rural areas. Applications can be submitted continuously and must be made prior to the start of the respective measure.
Funding is provided in the form of a one-time grant with funding rates ranging from 50% to 100% of eligible costs. Up to €10,000 per region is covered for the preparation of KEM/KLAR application documents, and up to €3,000 per municipality or municipal association for consulting services related to concept development. Expenses for application documents and accompanying workshops are recognized, but services already funded elsewhere or the implementation concepts themselves are not eligible. A prerequisite is the submission of the signed application form and proof of actual incurred costs. The program is valid from 01.01.2024 and runs until revoked, with no personal contact details published in the funding text.
