Funding objective
Provision of a financial grant for disability-related necessary housing adaptations (barrier-free bathroom remodeling, stairlifts, ramps, etc.), for the purchase and adaptation of passenger vehicles, as well as for care aids to facilitate caregiving.

Funding requirements
- Presence of a disability within the meaning of the Salzburg Participation Act (S.THG)
- Austrian citizenship or persons equated according to S.THG
- Main residence in the state of Salzburg (at least three consecutive years)
- No possibility to obtain the same or similar benefits from other legal, statutory, or contractual regulations
- Proof of disability-related necessity (medical confirmation), verification of income ceiling and purchase price limits

Description
The program grants a subsidy in the federal state of Salzburg for disability-related necessary adaptations and acquisitions as well as for care aids. Funded are barrier-free home modifications such as bathroom renovations, stairlifts, or ramps, the purchase and customized adaptation of a car, as well as supportive care aids like care beds, patient lifts, or hearing aids. Applications can be submitted at any time but must always be filed before the start of the planned measures. The goal is the sustainable improvement of mobility, quality of life, and care facilitation for people with permanent disabilities or age-related limitations.
The funding is addressed to persons with main residence in Salzburg (at least three consecutive years) and Austrian citizenship or equivalent status, who cannot receive comparable benefits from other legal bases. Requirements include proof of a disability within the meaning of the Salzburg Participation Act, income and purchase price limits, as well as a medical confirmation of necessity. For the application, among other documents, proof of income, cost estimate, "Beneficiary Disabled" notice, copy of the disability pass, proof of citizenship, and, if applicable, authorization of representation are required. After reviewing all documents, the financial subsidy is granted.
