Description
The Support Fund for School Events in Vienna offers public secondary schools and polytechnic schools continuous funding to facilitate students' participation in extracurricular activities lasting at least five days. The goal is to enhance educational and community experiences as well as promote social inclusion. Eligible costs include project weeks, ski courses, the Vienna action, and comparable events outside the place of residence. Applications have been accepted at any time since 01/01/2014 after the completion of the respective event and are addressed to school administrations, which can nominate up to five needy students per class (up to eight in integration classes). The decision on granting the subsidy is made based on a discretionary procedure.
A funding amount of €100 per child in need is transferred to the school account, from which the payment is made to the legal guardians. Requirements include a written application specifying the exact school event, the implementation period, the involved classes, and a named list of students eligible for support including brief justifications. Receipts from parents or legal guardians document the receipt of payment. This funding measure exclusively covers expenses for school events outside the place of residence lasting at least five days and will be continued indefinitely without deadline limits.
