Support Fund for School Events

Support Fund for School Events in Carinthia offers public secondary schools and polytechnic schools continuous financial support for a variety of extracurricular learning formats. The aim is to facilitate student participation in organized activities such as ski courses, project weeks, or Vienna excursions and to strengthen social equal opportunities. The funds are provided on an ongoing basis and approved upon application by the school authorities. The funding is exclusively directed at public educational institutions in Carinthia, which request financial benefits on behalf of their students and pass them on to the legal guardians. This ensures streamlined organizational processes and prompt disbursement.

A flat rate of €100 per participating child is available for costs related to the respective event. The payment is made through the school's respective youth center, where the disbursement to parents or guardians takes place and receipts are archived. Informal applications can be submitted at any time, as the fund continuously allocates resources. Through this funding, schools gain additional scope to implement learning environments outside the classroom and to complement the educational mandate with practical experiences. The responsible body for administration and allocation is the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 6 – Education and Sports, which coordinates all funding activities as the central contact point and supports schools with comprehensive information on the application process.
