Support Services / Foundation Funds (Main-Taunus Foundation)

The Main-Taunus Foundation provides continuously available grants from foundation funds for individuals residing in the Main-Taunus district who have fallen into financial hardship through no fault of their own. Social concerns are supported in the areas of children and youth, health, education, sports, work & social affairs, as well as culture & media. The aim is to close gaps in basic provision when primary social benefits are insufficient. Support is provided in an unbureaucratic and needs-based manner to specifically relieve affected individuals in acute emergency situations and open up new perspectives.

Eligible to apply are individuals or their legal representatives residing in the Main-Taunus district whose income and already applied-for social benefits do not cover the current hardship. A prerequisite is the review of primary benefits as well as their rejection or insufficient coverage. Applications can be submitted at any time via an online form, to which proof of financial situation and confirmation of the review of social benefits must be attached. Required documents include the completed application form for the disbursement of donation funds, proof of hardship, and documents regarding the rejection or limitation of primary social benefits. The decision on the grant is made promptly by a foundation committee that evaluates each request individually and enables tailored support.
