UWC Selection Process / Application for a School Place (with Scholarship Option) – German UWC Foundation

The German UWC Foundation enables motivated young people from Germany to spend two years at one of the 18 United World Colleges worldwide. As part of a continuous selection process, partial and full scholarships are available to promote international understanding, tolerance, social responsibility, and sustainability. The program is aimed at students from all school types who have completed at least ten school years by the start in summer 2027 and were born between August 1, 2008, and August 15, 2011. An independent selection based on suitability, academic performance, and personality ensures equal opportunities: family financial circumstances or initial language barriers in English do not influence the funding decision. The project duration is 24 months and offers insights into intercultural learning as well as diverse engagement opportunities within the global network.

Interested students aged approximately 16 to 19 can apply online at any time and demonstrate their commitment to a more peaceful and sustainable future. The application requires the completed application form (PDF), a CV, and current school certificates. Annual deadlines are published on the German UWC Foundation’s website, with the program start scheduled for August 1, 2027.
