Description
The German UWC Foundation offers young people between the ages of 13 and 19 across the country the opportunity to participate in intercultural short programs during the holidays, which focus on sustainable action and leadership skills. In an inspiring learning environment, this participation program promotes global exchange and understanding of social cohesion, democracy, migration, and social issues. The offerings combine educational and developmental impulses from the fields of vocational and further education, education for sustainable development, and engagement, and are continuously accessible. Interested participants can register at any time and benefit from high-quality youth education.
With the aim of raising young people's awareness of peace, tolerance, and responsible action, participants are prepared for future challenges through practical workshops and moderated dialogue formats. Funding requirements include attendance at any type of school and at least ten consecutive school years; additionally, the date of birth must be between August 1, 2008, and August 15, 2011. Private individuals can apply for funding, with selection based solely on suitability, performance, and personality—financial background plays no role. This short program is aimed at young people who wish to deepen their global understanding and develop their leadership skills in a sustainable context.
