Improvement of the Labor Market – Projects to Enhance the Compatibility of Family and Work

The state of Burgenland supports projects that better reconcile family and work in Burgenland with a total budget of €0.5 million. Funding is provided particularly for the expansion of institutional childcare and educational services as well as complementary care infrastructures. Companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions can implement family-conscious personnel policies, establish flexible working time models, and create target group-specific informational materials. Furthermore, initiatives aimed at reducing role stereotypes, increasing father involvement, as well as scientific studies on the compatibility of family and work are included in the scope of funding. The goal is a sustainable strengthening of a family-friendly living and working environment.

Eligible to apply are project sponsors based or operating in Burgenland. The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant, which can be applied for continuously. The funding guidelines of the state of Burgenland, Department 9 "Social and Climate Fund Burgenland," apply, ensuring a transparent individual decision. Submissions are possible at any time; the application package should include, in addition to the project description and financing plan, information on the expected effects on the compatibility of family and work. The funding aims to realize innovative measures that contribute in the long term to relieving working parents and promoting equal participation in working life.
