The Verdieck Foundation annually honors the best young researchers from Lower Saxony with the Verdieck Foundation Youth Award in the regional competition “Jugend forscht” in Lüneburg and Celle. First-place teams in the subject areas of Work Environment, Biology, Chemistry, Geo- and Spatial Sciences, Mathematics/Computer Science, Physics, and Technology are recognized with a certificate and €50 prize money per team member. Additionally, the invitation to the FORUM OF THE BEST offers the opportunity to present research results to a broad expert audience and to receive attractive presentation bonuses. As a further benefit, award winners can join the exclusive Club of Awardees to network with other young talents and to be supported long-term by the foundation family.
Registration for prize money claims and for participation in the FORUM OF THE BEST is possible online at any time; proof of first place (certificate) is required. Eligible for funding are exclusively individuals who have won the competition at the regional level as students or young people. There is no application deadline, as the Verdieck Foundation continuously accepts applications and provides funds flexibly. Only verified top placements in the regional competition are evaluated, ensuring transparent allocation. The Youth Award not only promotes scientific curiosity and innovative spirit but also strengthens the self-confidence of young researchers by making outstanding achievements visible and supporting them sustainably.
