Description
This funding supports Salzburg interest groups and associations in the fields of brass and folk music as well as folk culture in sustainably improving their equipment. A one-time grant finances comprehensive investments in traditional costumes, musical instruments, and other equipment. Measures for the furnishing of clubhouses or rehearsal rooms (excluding new construction) can also be covered. Changes to existing club costumes require coordination with the Department of Folk Culture, Cultural Heritage, and Museums. Event costs such as festivals and celebrations, the acquisition of club flags, ongoing operating expenses, or members’ own contributions are not eligible for funding.
Modification and acquisition projects are assessed based on a detailed cost breakdown (date, company, purpose, amount) as well as a clearly structured financing plan. Eligible applicants are music bands, rifle companies, homeland associations, and choirs based in the state of Salzburg. The complete funding application including all required documents must be submitted annually by August 31. Upon project completion, proof of use including invoices must be provided; in the case of altered club costumes, before-and-after photos must also be submitted. Payment is made only after a positive verification of use. This guideline applies indefinitely and is based on the general funding conditions of the state of Salzburg for cultural and music associations.
