Description
The funding program “Dissemination of Research Results for Agriculture and Forestry” supports educational institutions, non-profit organizations, companies, as well as public institutions across all federal states of Austria in the targeted preparation and dissemination of scientific findings. The focus is on practice-relevant studies and results that are communicated to agricultural and forestry enterprises, educational and advisory institutions, media organizations, and the interested public. Through innovative presentation formats, professional events, and multimedia publications, knowledge transfer is to be strengthened and the dialogue between research and practice intensified. The initiative promotes sustainable concepts, tests forward-looking preparation strategies, and places importance on broad reach to relevant target groups.
Funding is provided in the form of a 100% grant for personnel expenses, material costs, travel and event expenses, as well as publication and dissemination costs. Taxes, duties, and administrative costs are not eligible for funding. Eligible applicants are research institutions and university institutes that announce their projects online and make the results available free of charge for at least five years. Evaluation criteria include practical relevance, degree of innovation, sustainability aspects, planned dissemination scope, and target group reach. Required documents – including the completed funding application, a project description, a financing plan, a declaration of commitment, and a needs assessment – must be submitted by the deadline of October 31 of the year preceding the funding year (for 2024, by December 31, 2023). Projects may start between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2029. Interested research institutions are invited to present their projects and thereby sustainably promote the transfer of research results into agricultural and forestry practice.
