Description

The FLÜWO Foundation supports innovative projects in Baden-Württemberg with "Networking in the Neighborhood" that connect local actors, citizens, and institutions. At the core is the intersectoral networking approach, which strengthens existing structures and fosters new forms of cooperation. References to education and health within the neighborhood are explicitly encouraged to promote collaboration across various disciplines and enable a holistic perspective on neighborhood development. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of social cohesion: from neighborhood initiatives to youth groups and senior projects, ideas should emerge that hold the neighborhood together as a vibrant space for learning and living.

Funding is provided to private individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, and public institutions actively engaged in neighborhood work within the Stuttgart funding area. A prerequisite is an intersectorally oriented concept with a clear neighborhood focus and target group emphasis—such as children and youth, older adults, or civil society volunteers. Evaluation is based on the potential for network building and the intersectorality of the project. As grants are offered, applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. This flexible submission deadline enables the foundation to facilitate an uncomplicated start for initiatives that advance social cohesion and democratic coexistence in the neighborhood.
