Description
The Amplification Funding – Federal Loans supports commercial tourism enterprises in Styria, particularly in the gastronomy and hotel sectors, with loan-financed investment projects starting from a minimum investment amount of €10,000. As a grant supplement to an already approved federal funding (ÖHT), the program enables additional reinforcement of investments to preserve and strengthen the competitiveness as well as the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism and leisure industry. Eligible investments include tangible and intangible assets, such as the conversion, extension, or new construction of buildings, furnishings and software, as well as architectural and consulting fees. Special attention is given to innovation and quality content, sustainability aspects, and the contribution to project implementation.
Eligible for funding are SMEs with a valid trade license at the investment location in Styrian tourism municipalities. A prerequisite is the application before the start of the project, proof of the EU SME definition, and concurrent federal funding through the ÖHT. The funding rate is up to 10% of eligible expenses, up to the maximum limits permissible under competition law. Non-eligible costs include, among others, land purchases (except for staff accommodations), VAT, repairs, in-house services, and marketing costs. The application documents include the state amplification application form, the ÖHT application, a detailed project description with cost breakdown, as well as the required trade licenses and approvals. Payment is made after project completion upon submission of invoices and payment receipts and a final credit usage verification list. Through this direct funding format, Styrian tourism enterprises receive valuable impulses for the long-term safeguarding of quality and competitiveness.
