Description

The Amplifier Funding – Young Entrepreneurs of Styria supports commercial tourism businesses in their initial establishment or takeover, with a focus on gastronomy and hospitality. As a complementary regional subsidy to federal grants, it enables financial strengthening of investment projects in Styrian tourism municipalities. Beneficiaries receive a one-time grant of up to 10% of eligible costs, covering both equity and external capital investments. Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a valid trade license at the investment location. The application can be submitted at any time before the actual start of the investment, ensuring flexible planning and implementation. Eligible expenses include investments in buildings (conversion, extension, or new construction), furnishings and software, as well as architect and consultant fees. Non-eligible costs include, among others, value-added tax, marketing expenses, own work contributions, and land acquisition. Disbursement is made upon request after project completion, upon submission of appropriate documentation and a final accounting.

For the application, in addition to the official Amplifier application of the State of Styria and the OeHT application, a detailed project description and cost breakdown are required. Furthermore, an unlimited trade license or an extract from the trade register, lease or rental agreement, financing commitment or proof of own funds, as well as all necessary permits (e.g., building permit) must be attached. The Tourism Department of Division 12 Economy, Tourism, Science and Research serves as the central contact point and coordinates the funding process. Since the funding period is unlimited and ongoing, founders and successors can implement their projects promptly. The objective of the measure is the sustainable strengthening and modernization of the regional tourism economy as well as the creation of future-proof leading tourism enterprises in Styria.
